Privacy Policy
This policy covers the HYROX Tracker iOS and watchOS app · Last updated 8 August 2026
Who we are
HYROX Tracker is developed by Ahmed Reshi, an independent developer. For any question about this policy, email reshiahmd@gmail.com.
Data stored on your device
The app stores the following locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch, using the operating system's standard app storage:
- Race timers and section times for a race in progress
- Your race history
- Custom race plans you create
- App settings and preferences
This information is never uploaded. The app makes no network requests, contains no analytics or crash-reporting tools, no advertising software, no third-party trackers, and no third-party code libraries of any kind.
Health and fitness data
If you grant permission, the app uses Apple HealthKit as follows.
Data read from HealthKit: heart rate, active energy burned, and walking/running distance. These are read only while a race is in progress, so the app can show your live heart rate, heart rate zones and workout metrics.
Data written to HealthKit: your completed race is saved as a workout, including its duration, section times, and associated heart rate and energy samples.
Health data is used solely to display information to you and to save your workout to Apple Health. It is never transmitted off your device, never sent to the developer, never shared with any third party, never used for advertising or marketing, and never used for data mining or any purpose unrelated to your own fitness tracking.
HealthKit access is entirely optional. Every timing feature of the app works with Health permission denied. You can review or revoke access at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps, or in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Communication between your iPhone and Apple Watch
When both apps are installed, race information — timers, completed sections and heart rate — is synced directly between your own paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This transfer happens only between your two devices. It does not pass through the developer's systems or any third party.
Photo library
If you choose to save a race summary image, the app asks permission to add that image to your photo library. It only ever adds the image you asked it to save. The app does not read, browse or upload your photos.
How long data is kept
Data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual races in the app, and deleting the app removes all of its locally stored data. Workouts already written to Apple Health remain in the Health app and are managed by you there.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children. No age-related information is requested or processed.
Your rights
Because no data ever leaves your device, the developer holds no information about you. There is nothing to request, export, correct or delete on our side, and no data to disclose to anyone. You retain complete control through your own device settings.
GDPR and UK GDPR
For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom: the developer does not collect or process any personal data through this app, and therefore acts as a data controller over no personal data. The rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection all relate to data held by a controller; since none is held, there is no data to which they can be applied. All information the app creates remains under your control on your own device.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
The app collects no personal information, sells no personal information, and shares no personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. There are no categories of personal information collected or disclosed to report.
The App Store
Apple may collect its own information relating to your download or purchase of the app, independently of the developer and outside our control. That is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
